Maulana Bhasani’s death anniversary observed in Tangail

The 48th death anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani was observed in Tangail town with enthusiasm today.
Different political and socio-cultural organisations including Vice Chancellor of Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University Professor Dr Anwarul Azim Akhand and Gono Odhikar Parishad placed floral wreaths at Bhasani’s mazar at Santosh this morning.
A mourning rally, discussion, and a doa mahfil were also organised on the occasion of Bhasani’s death anniversary in Tangail.
A seven-day long mela kicked off at the shrine of Bhasani today. A huge number of Bhasani’s disciples gathered at his shrine.
Founder President of Muslim Awami League Maulana Bhasani who was popularly known as Mozlum Jananeta died on November 17 in 1976 at the then PG Hospital (BSMMU) in the capital and buried in Tangail.
